Beds and Bedding Project
COMPLETE!!
We have raised the sufficient funds of $10,000 to complete the bed and bedding project. Each child in the orphanage will receive new, safe beds this summer. Thank you!
Child Sponsor Program
Daily living expenses including food, medical treatments, personal hygiene items, and school tuition are necessary for each child in the orphanage. When you sponsor a child for only $1.23 a day, every penny on the dollar will go directly to serving the children’s basic needs. We want to be up-front in informing you that we hope each child will have two sponsors each, with absolutely none of the monies going towards administrative costs or hidden fees of any kind. When you sponsor a child, you will be able to send small gifts and receive pictures and letters in return from your designated child. It is a great way to get involved with the ministry and a great way to share the act of giving with your children. Please consider sponsoring a child today. It's as easy as giving only $1.23 a day to change a child's future forever.
Wellington Orphanage High School Completion
As of 2008, the new high school, located just down the hill from the Wellington Orphanage, is under construction. Phase 1 has been completed and we are currently trying to raise financial support for the completion of Phases 2 & 3. The school will serve the children of Wellington Orphanage in many ways. First, it will allow all of the children to attend school. It will serve as a relief to the tuition cost needed currently for the children to attend school, as well as, accepting tuition from other children living in the surrounding area. In the past, the high school boys in the orphanage traveled great distances to attend boarding school, only to find that the living conditions were not meeting expectations. The completion of the new high school will assure every child in the orphanage will have an opportunity at a good education.
Sanitation System Project
Currently, the septic tank located at the orphanage is significantly small for the 84 children, plus staff that share only 2 toilets. Often times, the children have to clean an overflowing tank themselves without proper gloves or equipment, leading to an enormous increased risk in disease like Hepatitis B. Our goal is to raise support for a larger septic tank, as well as, a sewage truck to help remedy the current situation. The sanitation project is a $10,000 project.
